We have seen countless tv and online ads of eye creams telling us it could reduce dark circles, fine lines, puffiness with daily use. However, all they can do is help moisturise the skin surface as they can’t penetrate deep enough into the layers of skin to really work as publicised. Most eye creams on the market are formulated with the same ingredients as face moisturisers. So stop buying costly eye creams because the only thing you need to do is moisturise the skin areas regularly and apply sunscreen to protect your skin from UV rays.

He added that some creams at most may smooth the appearance of cellulite at the time being by hydrating the skin or those which contain caffeine, may slightly improve the drainage of the sluggish lymphatic system, which is one of the underlying causes of cellulite. The only ways to get rid of it are to lose some fats cells or get a laser treatment at the dermatologist.

Whitening toothpaste costs more than the regular toothpaste thus, it is a waste of money since it does not really live up to its potential. It usually consists of whitening agents like carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide and abrasive agents, to polish the teeth and help to rub away the surface stains. While peroxides help to bleach and whiten the teeth, however, it does not have a high enough concentration of the ingredient to make it a long-lasting effect because a high concentration would irritate the gums and cheeks. Abrasives help to rub away surface stains because they wear away the enamel that the stain is sitting on and wearing it too much will cause tooth sensitivity.

Expensive Cleansers

You don’t need to spend a hefty amount of money on face wash. Why? It is because cleansers spend the least amount of time on your skin so there is no much ‘action’, apart from removing dirt, makeup and oil which any cleanser should do. All that matters is that it won’t strip your skin, so avoid ingredients like sulphates which can dry out your skin. Opt for a gentle cleanser at your local drugstore which has great selection cleansers. Instead of splurging on costly cleansers, spend your money on serums, oils and active treatments that sit on your skin.
